The remaining roughly 200 soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 127th Infantry out of Appleton will be returning to Wisconsin this afternoon.
State elected officials and senior Wisconsin National Guard leaders will be at Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center in Camp Douglas at 2:00 this afternoon to welcome them home.
This last wave represents the remainder of 400 total Soldiers from the battalion that deployed to Afghanistan.
Approximately 190 previously returned to Wisconsin Nov. 29.
The group returning today landed at Fort Bliss, Texas Nov. 23, where they have been completing demobilization requirements in advance of returning to Wisconsin.
