The Wisconsin State Patrol arrested a trucker from Tennessee at a Sheboygan gas station last month for his connection to human trafficking.
53-year-old Dennis Mutters was seen at the gas station by an officer with a young girl, who appeared underage. When confronted the 17-year-old told police that the two were friends and that they had met 4 or 5 times prior.
Police searched Mutter’s phone and found evidence of the girl performing sexual acts and over 100 more sexually explicit photos of underage girls.
Investigators believe that Mutters was using the 17-year-old as a prostitute based on text message conversations found on his phone.
Mutters is facing 15 different charges, and if convicted on all of them, is facing over 315 years in prison.
He is currently in the Sheboygan County Detention Center and is being held on a $150,000 cash bond.
