Ashwaubenon Public Safety has released the names of the driver and the victim in a fatal hit and run incident over the weekend.
According to reports, 43 year old Derrick Lyshon Murphy of Green Bay was struck by 38 year old Chad Scott of Green Bay in the area of Ashland Avenue and Cormier Road at around midnight Saturday evening.
Scott reportedly told authorities he thought he had hit a deer, and fled the scene.
Responding officers found Murphy’s body, and quickly located Scott, with help from the Green Bay Police Department, and brought him up on a charge of Homicide by Intoxicated Use of a Motor Vehicle.
Scott was in court yesterday, and received a $10,000 cash bond.
