A storage building in Grand Chute caught fire over the weekend.
The Grand Chute Fire Department was called to the scene in the 900 block of Mayflower Drive just before 4:00 PM on Saturday, and found heavy smoke and flames coming through the roof of the metal structure.
Due to the high heat and smoke emission, a neighboring garage did receive damage, but the bulk of the damage was confined to the storage building where the fire originated.
The structure and it’s contents are considered a total loss.
Only one person was evaluated for smoke inhalation, but they were not transported to any hospital.
Damage estimates have not yet been made available, and the fire remains under investigation, but is not considered to be suspicious.
