Three people have officially thrown their hats into the ring to represent the 6th congressional district.
Matthew Boor from Broadwind Energy, former state Senator Jessica King, and attorney Amy Washburn are all running under the Democratic banner to take on Rep Glen Grothman, who has held the office since 2014.
A primary election will take place on August 11th to narrow the field down to one candidate from each party. During his time in Congress, Grothman has pushed for immigration and welfare reform, and has fought to reduce student debt.
The Glenbeulah native served in the Wisconsin State Assembly, and State Senate before making his way to the national stage.
