Two Green Bay men were indicted by a federal grand jury for tampering with the odometers on used vehicles before selling them.
According to the indictment, 35 year old Robert Solberg and 38 year old Joshua Taylor would buy a used vehicle, and either tamper with, or completely replace the odometer, which tracks the total distance traveled by the vehicle, and then resell that vehicle to an unsuspecting customer.
The duo are each charged with criminal conspiracy and odometer tampering, which carry a maximum sentence of eight years in prison, and $500,000 in fines.
