The College Football Playoff committee has ranked the Wisconsin Badgers (9-and-2) 12th for the second straight week.
Wisconsin moved ahead of Oregon after the Ducks lost to Arizona State, but Baylor jumped five spots in the C-F-P rankings by whipping Texas.
This week’s opponent, the Minnesota Gophers, check in at number-8.
The biggest development in the weekly ranking saw Ohio State leap-frog over L-S-U to take the top spot.
If Wisconsin beats the Gophers and plays in the Big Ten Championship game, they would be facing Ohio State – a team that beat U-W 38-7.
