The Two Rivers School District held their monthly meeting last night, and a major part of the gathering revolved around taking a look at the district’s report card. TRSD Superintendent Lisa Quistorff explained to SeehaferNews.com that the process actually began four years ago, saying “We started with an assessment where the district got a report card. Each school got a score, and the district got a score.”
Quistorff went on to clarify that the score is based on “the state assessment that we took…in the spring of last year…our ACT taken at the high school, and the graduation rate and attendance.”
While the TRSD scores very well on their graduation rate and attendance, Quistorff is also fully aware of the fact that the District has some things to work on. She said “We do not do well in closing the gap between our economically disadvantaged students, and our non-economically disadvantaged students, as well as our students with disabilities and our students without disabilities.”
Schools within the Two Rivers School District will actually be off starting tomorrow because, according to Quistorff, they see a decline in attendance around this time every year, due to the holiday, and the 9 day gun deer season being underway.
