The first reported accident from the opening weekend of deer hunting has come in.
An unnamed hunter fell from his stand at 6:10 a.m. on opening morning. The individual was able to contact authorities and let them know that he was near the intersection of School Road, and Hulls Crossing drives in the Town of Greenbush.
Responding crews were able to locate the hunter by utilizing a drone. The individual was taken to a local hospital, and treated for his unspecified leg injuries.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office was aided in the rescue by the MADBAS 113 Drone Unit, Orange Cross Ambulance, and the Fire Departments from Greenbush, Glenbeulah, and Elkhart Lake.
