
The Manitowoc County Historical Society McAllister House Welcome Center will be open on Saturday, November 30 for guests to take part in ornament making and to shop the Museum Store. The Museum Store, which will be open from 10 am to Noon, features local books, gifts, and children’s items. Special promotions will take place in the museum store throughout the day.
Whether it’s to create your own keepsake or make presents for friends and family, the museum is also offering a metal Christmas ornament making workshop on Saturday, November 30, from 10 am to Noon, as part of the museum’s Create-Connect series. The workshop is a great opportunity to learn simple metalworking techniques in copper, tin, and brass. Participants will have the opportunity to create 2-3 attractive ornaments. The fee for the workshop is $5.00 for MCHS Members and $10 for non-members. Advanced registration is required. The workshop is appropriate for ages 6 and older. Adults must accompany children under age 16.
