Amy Fricke-Weigel, President of the Friends of the Aquatic Center Board, said “the WPS Foundation has been a wonderful donor & supporter of the A-C from the beginning,” and added “They believe in the community and what the center can do for Manitowoc by enhancing our quality of life.”
Planned additions include a warming pool with hot-tub atmosphere, a splash-pad with water-spray features and a second reservable shelter. The ‘Friends Board’ confirmed in a news release that about 75% of the project cost has already been secured through pledges & commitments from donors..during the initial private fundraising efforts.
