One quarterback is a sure Hall of Famer and the other is in his first season as a starter N-F-L.
It seems apparent the Green Bay Packers have the edge on the 49ers at quarterback, but the numbers suggest it’s a lot closer than you might expect.
Garoppolo has thrown more T-D passes this season, completed a higher percentage, averages more net yards-per-pass and has a higher Q-B-R.
On the other hand, Rodgers has fewer interceptions and more passing yards-a-game, with an edge in passer rating.
The difference Sunday night might be that Garoppolo will be working against a statistically weaker defense.
