A New Jersey based company has recalled nearly 100,000 pounds of their salad products due to concern over E.coli.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service says that Missa Bay’s Ready Pac Bistro Chicken Caesar Salad with the establishment number EST 18502B has tested positive for the bacteria, which can cause diarrhea, urinary tract infections, respiratory illness, pneumonia, and other illnesses.
The number can be found in the USDA mark of inspection. The product was shipped to 22 states, including Wisconsin. Investigators are treating this case as an outbreak.
