One woman has died and two men were taken into police custody as a result of a rollover crash in the township of Kossuth. The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department was called out to investigate a report of two men fighting outside of a vehicle, near the I-43 off-ramp at County Road K, at around 6:15 AM on Saturday. The men returned to the vehicle and took off north once the Deputies arrived.
33-year-old Corey Knepp for Republic Michigan was driving the vehicle when it entered the east ditch and overturned south of Schley Road, in the township of Cooperstown. Corey and his twin brother Tyler were transported to a Green Bay Hospital for treatment of their injuries, while 29-year-old Emily Lapointe of Iron River Michigan was ejected from the vehicle, and died at the scene.
The Knepp brothers were both arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia as a repeater, and disorderly conduct.
Each remains in the County Jail on $2,500 cash bail.
