One Sheboygan apartment resident says she has been told not to drink or bathe in the water coming out of her faucets.
City officials are investigating the problem reported at the Meadowland Villa Apartment Complex. Residents say they noticed their water smelled like gasoline or another chemical. A hazmat team found low levels of what it called a “flammable organic hydrocarbon” in the water supply.
The city public works department flushed water lines and it isn’t clear if the problem has been solved.
Fire officials say they found two natural gas leaks in the area.
