Street construction work continues in the city of Manitowoc.
According to Greg Minikel of the Department of Engineering Office, Viebahn Street between South 18th & 19th is expected to be closed until late Thursday for installation of a sanitary lateral and water service. A detour route has been established and access is maintained for residents living between S. 18th & 23rd streets.
Meanwhile, on the city’s northeast side eastbound lanes of Reed Avenue, from North 4th to North 5th Streets, are being closed to traffic today. This is to allow for the replacement of a water service and it’s expected those lanes will also be reopened by no later-than this Thursday.
