The Kiel Area School District has announced plans to celebrate the Kiel Raiders first-ever trip this week to the State Football Championship Game.
The week-of-celebration leading up to the Division 4 title game with Catholic Memorial Thursday night at 7:00 includes an opportunity for the community to share your congratulations and well-wishes with Purple Raiders players.
Students, parents, businesses, community members can record a short congratulatory/good luck video (of approximately 30-seconds) and send it to either Activities Director Steve Walsh at: swalsh@kiel.k12.wi.us or Kiel High School Principal Eric Ward at: eward@kiel.k12.wi.us .
Some of those videos will be shared on social media throughout the week and on Thursday, they’ll share ‘all’ clips with the team prior to their send-off to Madison.
Kiel High School will be hosting a Car Decorating Service tomorrow afternoon from 2-4 pm after school in the student parking lot as well. We are told there will be art supplies & some artists on hand to help decorate your vehicle before heading down to the championship game on Thursday.
The football team has a Send-Off with a Police and Fire Department escort through the community earlier in the day. That’ll include stops at Zielanis Elementary and Kiel Middle Schools.
Those not able to attend the game in person can hear the play by play on 980-WCUB & cubradio.com.
