Authorities are on the hunt for an inmate from the Sturgeon Bay Jail.
According to reports, 29-year-old Dennis Harris Jr was allowed to leave the jail on the Huber work release program yesterday morning to go to an interview, but never showed up. The Door County Sheriff’s Office says that instead, an unknown individual picked him up and gave him a ride to Green Bay, where he was dropped off at the VA clinic on University Avenue.
Harris is 5 foot 11 inches tall, weighs 217 pounds, with short brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, and black canvas shoes, and has several tattoos, including the word FROST on the left side of his neck.
While he is not believed to be a danger to the public, authorities are warning anyone who believes to have spotted him to contact your local police station and to keep your distance.
