It didn’t look good at the half when Marquette trailed by 13, but the Golden Eagles dominated the last 20 minutes of a 65-55 win over Purdue.
Marquette (2-0) outscored the Boilermakers 40-17 in the second half. Guard Koby McEwen led Marquette with 23 points and Markus Howard had 18.
The Eagles did a lot of damage at the free-throw line where they hit 18-of-24 while Purdue was missing 12-of-21.
Marquette takes its undefeated record into Madison next Sunday for a showdown with in-state rival Wisconsin.
