Alongside Briess Malting President and CEO Ryan O’Toole, and Owner Craig Briess, Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels officially unveiled the new mural on the Briess Malting silos.
Mayor Nickels commented on how the design incorporates things like the S.S. Cobia, the lighthouse and Manitowoc Lincoln High School, and how the bright colors signify the bright future of the city.
Some people are rather sad to see the old Budweiser bottle and can mural get covered up, but as a reminder, the new mural is a vinyl sheet, so the old mural is still intact.
And as Mayor Nickels said, people were sad to see the old Rahr logo covered as well. Sometimes you just need to update and change with the times.
