Manitowoc city officials say there’s going to be a lane closure on South 8th Street today through Friday to allow for the next phase of exterior work on the former Schuette Building.
Greg Minikel of the Engineering Division said the far west northbound lane of South 8th, between Jay & Franklin Streets, is being closed for Tri-City Glass to install new windows on the downtown landmark.
Minikel says the lane closure will actually begin on Washington Street to the west of South 8th in order to move traffic into the proper lane well in advance of the work-site.
It’s expected the lane will be reopened to traffic by the end of the workday on Friday.
