Racine County authorities have finally identified the body of a woman found in a cornfield 20 years ago. An autopsy showed 23-year-old Peggy Lynn Johnson suffered burns, abrasions, lacerations and broken bones before she died and her body was dumped. Investigators say the cognitively-impaired Illinois woman had been employed as a nanny and a housekeeper. Now, 64-year-old Linda La Roche faces charges in her death. The autopsy showed Johnson died of an infection caused by chronic abuse.
