A 70-year-old man living in Pell Lake has been sentenced to 25 years in an Illinois prison for killing his wife.
Cook County Judge Joseph Cataldo found Frank Buschauer guilty last August and sentenced him Friday.
Prosecutors told the court Buschauer drowned his 47-year-old wife Cynthia Hrisco in the bathtub of their South Barrington home 19 years ago. The manner of her death was originally listed as undetermined.
Buschauer moved to Wisconsin, then the case was reopened in 2013.
