
Scammers don’t take a holiday off, and that includes Veterans Day.
According to the Better Business Bureau, service members, veterans, and their families are common targets for fraud, with a median reported loss of $200 last year—32% higher than the general population.
A lot of that loss comes from Employment Scams. An article written by the BBB says that the most risky job types are those that claim you can work from home. While appealing, these remote opportunities allow scammers to pretend to be an HR manager or your future boss, without you ever seeing their face—or a real paycheck.
