Seventy-five students from Manitowoc Lutheran High School (MLHS) were given Academic Honors recently at the school’s Academic Awards Night.
Students qualified for this honor, and received their academic letter or pin, by achieving a 3.5 GPA for both semesters in the previous year. A total of 29 sophomores, 27 juniors, and 19 seniors, about 50% of each class, were honored.
MLHS students have also scored well above the national and state averages in ACT composite scores and AP testing results. Over 90% of the junior class takes the ACT each year, with MLHS ACT composite scores over the last four years ranging from 23.9 in 2019 to 24.9 in 2016. In comparison, the 2019 ACT score average for both the state and the nation was 20.7.
