O.H. Schultz Elementary School in Mishicot is gearing up to host a Veteran’s Day celebration on Monday.
Roger Booth, the man in charge of putting the event together, says that the celebration will, “honor our local veterans, current soldiers, and their families with video, song, and artifact tributes.” Anyone that wishes to attend can do so.
Booth also says that the Veterans Day Committee has been raising money to donate to the Old Glory Honor Flight, which flies veterans out to Washington DC.
The celebration will run from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., with the fifth graders at the school reading essays they wrote for the event.
Booth says that it is a “truly wonderful event as nary a dry eye is found upon completion.”
