It was a very strange scene at the Meadow Lane Kwik Trip in Manitowoc last night.
Officers were called to the gas station at around 7:30 last night on a report of a woman acting strange. Officers noted that the woman was “clearly under the influence” due to her inability to sit still, and lack of focus.
The woman told officers that she had won a Nobel Prize and that she “gets high on talking about science”.
After several failed attempts to get the 27-year-old to calm down, and false identification, she eventually told police her name and said she didn’t want to get in trouble. She admitted to smoking methamphetamine two days prior and said the effects still hadn’t worn off.
The woman was taken into police custody on charges of Obstructing an Officer, and six counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
