Fans attending the Wisconsin Badgers basketball home opener can expect to see a lot of defensive pressure from the visitors, but not much size.
Eastern Illinois plays a lineup filled with guards – big guards, but guards nonetheless. Both the Panthers and Badgers are looking for their first victories. Wisconsin dropped an overtime game against ranked Saint Mary’s and Eastern Illinois was blown out by number-13 Texas Tech.
Despite their lack of size, the Panthers try to get inside on offense and they’re deep, with 11 players getting court time in the opener.
