Bail was set at $100 cash for a 38-year-old woman that was taken into custody Thursday morning following an incident at a Manitowoc gas station. Kendelle M. Nelson is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and felony bail jumping. It was also confirmed that Nelson was out on bail for an OWI charge related to the use of methamphetamine.
Police responded to the Shell Gas Station on Calumet Avenue after an employee found Nelson lying on the bathroom floor with a needle in her arm without her pants on. Nelson admitted to taking heroin and was first treated in an ambulance then transported to Holy Family Memorial Hospital.
Conditions of bail are that Nelson maintains absolute sobriety and report to MPD for photos and prints upon release. Her initial court appearance is scheduled for November 18th at 1:30.
After an arrest made Thursday evening, bail was set at $300 cash for a 27-year-old Manitowoc woman facing multiple charges following her arrest at a local convenience store.
Miriah A. Hutchinson is charged with obstructing an officer and six counts of felony bail jumping. Officers were called to Kwik Trip on Meadow Lane for the report of a woman “acting strange” and it was determined that Hutchinson was “clearly under the influence” She initially gave police a “false name” then said she “gets high on talking about science” and won a Nobel Prize. Eventually, Hutchinson gave her real name admitting she had smoked methamphetamine two days prior, adding she didn’t want to get into trouble.
