Defensive players for the Iowa Hawkeyes don’t believe Badgers quarterback Jack Coan can beat them. Stopping Jonathan Taylor will be a key – and that’s not so easy.
Hawkeye defensive back Michael Ojemudia says the plan is heat it up for Coan so he makes mistakes. He calls the junior a good quarterback, but not exceptional – despite completing more than 75 percent of his passes this year.
Taylor is a different story. Coach Kirk Ferentz says his program hasn’t seen a running back as solid as Taylor – possibly ever. The job gets harder because Iowa’s starting middle linebacker Kristian Welch is still sidelined by a “stinger.”
