Manitowoc City officials are asking residents to please “be patient” in regards to having leaves picked up from their residence(s).
Director of Public Infrastructure Dan Koski says that the early “winter weather”, plus large volume has created some challenges for crews to complete designated weekly sections throughout the city. Koski says they’ve adjusted goals to get each section picked up every other week, again being dependent on weather, the volume of leaves and equipment availability.
A residential parking ban is effective from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the day of your pickup and vehicles parked on the street during that time will be ticketed. If you see crews working, you are asked to please give them room to adequately and safely do their job.
Brush and garden waste is prohibited with leaf pickup, scheduled to end on November 22nd. To find a map of your leaf pickup day, go to www.manitowoc.org and click on Public Infrastructure-Brush and Leaf pickup or call 686-6550 between the hours of 8 a.m to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
