
Concordia-Wisconsin put up quite a battle at Panther arena, but eventual lost the season open to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee 72-62. Te’Jon Lucas and Josh Thomas scored 37 points combined for Milwaukee, 19 by Lucas. A 22-to-four Panther run in the middle of the game gave coach Pat Baldwin’s players the win. Olelekan George topped Concordia scoring with 16 points. Joey Zietlow just fell short of a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Homecoming is next for the Panthers when Western Michigan visits Saturday night.
