Sharp-shooting guard Markus Howard became Marquette’s all-time leading scorer with a 38-point performance Tuesday as the Golden Eagles rolled over Loyola-Maryland 88-53. Howard scored 30 in the first half and his three-pointer less than a minute into the second half pushed him past Jerel McNeal as the school’s top point producer. Junior forward Theo John blocked eight shots. Marquette opened the game on a 26-to-three run and was never challenged. The Eagles are off until a week from tonight when Purdue visits the Fiserv Forum.
