Gard’s UW Badgers “Jump Right Into Deep Water” In Opener

Wisconsin coach Greg Gard and his team won’t be easing into the college basketball season.  The Badgers meet number-20 Saint Mary’s at a neutral location in the season opener tonight (Tuesday).  The Gaels return four starters from a squad that qualified for last year’s N-C-A-A Tournament.  Senior guard Jordan Ford averaged more than 21 points-a-game.  Wisconsin features a balanced attack after the graduation of All-American Ethan Happ.  Tipoff from Sioux Falls, South Dakota is at 8:00 P-M.
