One person is dead in Two Rivers after an officer involved shooting.
The incident took place during a traffic stop on Washington Street Monday evening near the Citgo Gas Station. According to reports, the officer shot a male who was inside a vehicle. The unnamed male died after being transported to Aurora Medical Center. None of the officers involved were injured.
A firearm was found at the scene, but no other information is being released at this time.
The two block section of Washington Street by the Citgo is closed off to traffic while the investigation is conducted.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice has taken control of the investigation, but are being aided by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, Manitowoc Police and Two Rivers Police.
