If all goes well, Waldo Boulevard from Maritime Drive to North 14th Street should be reopened to traffic next week.
Project Manager Corey Schuh of McMahon Engineers/Architects in Neenah said the reconstruction of the major east-west thoroughfare in Manitowoc is now in its’ home stretch.
He says much of the work is complete but advised there are still items that remain, including the final restoration of the landscaping, including sod in the terraces and seeding in the medians and behind the sidewalks, installation of signage lighting and traffic signals, and other minor/miscellaneous work. Then all that will be left is the final clean-up along the project route.
Schuh added that “with a little help from mother nature, officials should be ready to open the boulevard around the second week of November.”
