The Professional Golf Association (PGA) recently announced a new partnership that names Road America as the preferred campground for the 2020 Ryder Cup, September 25-27, at Whistling Straits in nearby Kohler, Wisconsin.
Volunteers and ticket purchasers will have the opportunity to ‘Stay and Play’ at America’s National Park of Speed for the days leading up to and during the event. Road America has several options for campers, from cozy 200 sq. ft., cabins which can sleep up to four people, to RV sites complete with electrical, tent campsites and event glamping sites which include a fully-assembled tent, queen or twin beds complete with hotel quality linens, nightstands with lamps, and many more amenities; allowing campers to slumber under the stars as they dream about their tremendous 2020 Ryder Cup experience.
“This new agreement with one of the world’s most prestigious golf tournaments underscores the importance we place on creating unforgettable experiences for our guests,” said Mike Kertscher, President and General Manager of Road America. “By partnering with the PGA, we also give golf enthusiasts a unique opportunity to get to know us better and to experience America’s National Park of Speed in an exclusive way. We look forward to building momentum with the PGA and working together to deliver the very best experiences for our shared clientele during the 2020 Ryder Cup. Anyone choosing to stay at Road America will enjoy 24-hour security, an 18-hole disc golf course, walking, and bike trails; plus shopping for souvenirs, collectibles, and man-cave items at our Paddock Shop. We encourage volunteers and ticket purchasers to reserve their options early at www.roadamerica.com/rydercup.”
The 43rd Ryder Cup will be held from September 25 to 27, 2020, on the Straits course at Whistling Straits in nearby Kohler, Wisconsin. Whistling Straits has previously played host to three PGA Championships (2004, 2010, 2015).
