A Wausau woman will spend 18 months in federal prison after admitting she lied in order to receive Social Security disability benefits. Fifty-four-year-old Marjean Seehafter falsely claimed she wasn’t able to work due to her disability. She was actually employed by several Wausau area companies during the two-year period she was getting disability checks. Initially, she told investigators somebody stole her identity and was working under her name. She pleaded guilty when employee photographs were shown to match her.
