The high-scoring barrage didn’t quite materialize as the Wisconsin men’s hockey team dropped a 6-1 decision at Penn State. It was the Big Ten Conference season opener for both teams. The high-powered Badger offense produced only one goal – by Cole Caufield. The Nittany Lions outshot Wisconsin 44-39 and converted on four-of-eight power plays. The same two teams meet today (Friday) at 5:00 P-M in State College, Pennsylvania.
