BayCare Clinic—which has served the Lakeshore region for 20 years—announced plans to build a new 30 to 40 thousand square-foot facility in Manitowoc. The clinic will be built on 9.3 acres of land near the corner of Waldo Boulevard and Maritime Drive.
Plans include offering specialty healthcare services to patients throughout the lakeshore which include Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, MRI’s, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Pain and rehab medicine, Neurological Surgery and Urology.
“Patients and their families increasingly are expecting to receive the level of healthcare services that they would experience in a larger, more metropolitan area, but they want it here, in their community,” BayCare orthopedic surgeon Dr. Carl DiRaimondo says, “Our plan to build this new clinic is a direct response to that growing demand and will position us to better serve our community-providing residents the first-class healthcare services they need and deserve.”
Mayor Justin Nickels states “It was a pleasure to work with BayCare Clinic leadership to develop this welcome addition to the continued development of our community.”
This state-of-the-art building project is further proof of the Lakeshore region’s viability and desirability.” Construction is expected to begin next spring with completion scheduled for spring/summer of 2021.
