Aldi’s in Manitowoc has a “whole new look” and is inviting the community to participate in their celebration on Friday, November 1. A news release from the grocery store retailer says they (Aldi) will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:25—gift cards will be given to the first 100 customers and sweepstakes will be held for a chance to win a year’s supply of Aldi produce. Aldi Vice President Atty McGrath says the updated layout features open ceilings, McGrath says the store’s selections at 4111 Harbor Town Lane will now include a 40 percent increase in “fresh food selections” featuring a multitude of convenient, organic and easy to prepare options along with expansive refrigeration space to accommodate a larger variety of fresh and healthy options. Aldi has invested nearly $18 million to update its stores on the Lakeshore, Green Bay, Appleton and surrounding areas which is part of a $1.9 billion initiative to remodel and expand more than 1,300 stores nationwide by the end of next year.
