Authorities in Brown County have released further details in connection to a string of Burglaries that occurred this summer at a vacant property on Hawthorn Heights Drive in the Brown County Town of Ledgeview. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office said this afternoon that approximately 20 adult and juvenile suspects have been identified with almost half coming forward since a “mass media” blitz of photographs released earlier this week. An adult male was scheduled to make a court appearance this afternoon. Law enforcement have responded several times to the “owned and unoccupied” property that’s described as overgrown and in need of maintenance–leading to it being referred to as “spooky” adding to the allure for would-be thieves to enter. The owner has arranged for someone to check on the property with inside and outside cameras set up for added protection and surveillance. Several areas are deemed unstable with other present hazards that could lead to serious injury or death. Some unidentified property has been recovered and documented and the investigation is- considered- to- be- fluid. Authorities encourage anyone involved or has information concerning this case to contact the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
