It would appear that the rat problem in Brown County is coming to an end. For the first time in three years, Brown county residents are reporting seeing fewer rats. Several different programs were put into place over that time span, which was a collaboration between county officials, and the homeowners. The year to date number of complaints has been dropping steadily over the past couple of years. In 2017 there were 166 calls by this time. Last year that number fell to 98, and this year there were only 68 complaints about rats.
