Tuesday Morning Chemical Spill Causes Evacuation Of Pilgrim’s Pride Plant

Ten workers at the Pilgrim’s Pride poultry plant in Arcadia had to seek hospital treatment after a Tuesday morning chemical spill.  Another 31 workers were treated on the scene.  Authorities say the facility was evacuated safely at about 10:00 A-M.  Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire locked down its E-R while dealing with the patients.  The plant in western Wisconsin is one of 36 production facilities in 14 states.
