You can call Wisconsin lawmakers back to the Capitol for a special session, but you can’t make them vote. Republicans in the Legislature say they have no interest in the gun control bills Democratic Governor Tony Evers wants them to take up. He is calling a special session to be held November 7th. Republican leaders say the bills are an infringement on Second Amendment gun ownership rights and they won’t take them up next month. There is no statute requiring them to vote.
