It’s often been said that the Green Bay Packers have fans all over the world. To back up that assertion is a contingent of fans from Ireland and the United Kingdom who visited Titletown over the weekend to attend the Packers-Raiders game.
Stephen O’Brien has a radio show and hosts the UK & Irish Packers Podcast. O’Brien spoke about the team’s universal appeal saying, “I know the Dallas Cowboys say they are America’s Team…They can have America if they want, because the Pack are a worldwide team. They have a massive following.”
O’Brien called his visit to Lambeau Field “an absolute dream.” He told SeehaferNews.com that he has been here several times, but it ”just doesn’t get old.”
As we spoke with O’Brien, his group of 27 people took a tour of the Packer Hall of Fame before meeting with team President Mark Murphy. They then flew out of O’Hare International Airport in Chicago later in the day on Monday. If you wish to listen to the podcast, just click here.
