The third quarter ended on a ‘positive’ note as both September home sales and median prices in the lakeshore area and statewide increased above their levels a year ago. Local numbers provided by the Wisconsin Realtors Association show home sales in Manitowoc County rose 2.3%. to 89 last month, compared to 87 in 2018. The median price of those properties also went up by 6.5% from $109,900 to $117,000.
Statistics covering the first 9 months of 2019 show the median price of Manitowoc County home sales was up 6.6%..while the total number of homes sold in the county decreased slightly (by 4-tenths of a percent) from 771 to 768, when compared to last year. In Wisconsin, home sales and median prices rose more than 5% last month.
