The Manitowoc Public Utilities Water Department has informed SeehaferNews.com, that they will be conducting a scheduled inspection on the Northwest Water Tower today, putting it out of service for a time. That tower is located on Basswood Road near the county recycling and composting site, and provides elevated water storage for the northwest portion of the MPU water system. This northwest area is generally considered to be north of Waldo Boulevard and west of N 18th Street, and customers in that area may notice a slight decrease in water pressure while the water tower is out of service. The tower is anticipated be back online Tuesday, October 22.
