Mother to Avoid Charges in Infant Death Case

The Manitowoc County Human Services Department has decided not to press charges against a woman after her infant child died. The newborn passed away on July 19^th, which drew the attention of law enforcement. An investigation was conducted, and no signs of maltreatment of trauma were found. The Human Service Department said in the report that they “found insufficient evidence to substantiate neglect of the infant by the mother.”
