Interstate 43 in Milwaukee was shut down twice this week while authorities searched for evidence after shooting incidents. Five times, there have been shootings on that busy stretch of highway in the state’s largest city this year – four of them in the last three months. Milwaukee’s Carjacking and Reckless Driving Task Force quickly met to review proposals for making the streets safer. Alderwoman Chantia Lewis says the recent shootings illustrate the importance of solving the problem with reckless driving.
